Mineral Grey: 16,590 (10.3%)

Windveil Blue: 14,393 (9.0%)
Sonic Blue: 9,094 (5.7%)
Yellow: 8,483 (5.3%)

Here's how the TMS registry compares:
Black 20.4%
Redfire 11.7%
M Grey 11.0%
S Silver 10.4%
S Blue 10.2%
T Red 8.9%
W Blue 8.2%
L Lime 5.0%
White 4.6%
Yellow 4.2%
So as a whole, T Red and White are statisically more popular than on TMS; and Sonic Blue is much more popular on TMS than it is as a whole. All the other colors are within 1-3 percentage points.
I would expect that IUP/no IUP would be another good statistic. For each binary variable you double the spreadsheet, but it'd still be cool to see with IUP, wheels, spoiler options, since those are the really visible ones.

Where did this data come from?
Sorry - I went back and read the posts more carefully and saw that you had posted where the data came from.
It will be interesting to see if a more detailed breakdown becomes available. You know that info is compiled somewhere...

No Prob, maybe I'll ask Kzinti if he can get a more detailed one, who knows, maybe he already had an extensive one and trimmed it down for web purposes.

I know that some of the production figures are available for some vehicles from many years ago. I have a friend up the road from me who has the world's largest collection of Firebirds and T/As. He has over 60 now, and I believe he has the break down (option wise) of most of the model years. I think the rarest car he has is a 69 Firebird Trans Am with a column shift and a Ram Air IV motor - one of 3 made, and the only one known to exist today.
As for my 72 Impala, all I have ever been able to track down is that of the several hundred thousand Impalas, only 6,446 were convertibles that year. No breakdown by engine or other option.
More stats:
GTs: 60605 (37.8%)
V6s: 99807 (62.2%)
Converts 42126 (26.3%)
Coupes 118286 (73.7%)
FYI: 1.8% of all GT owners and 3.1% of all Sonic Blue GT owners are in the TMS registry.
I guess people that are attracted to Sonic Blue are more apt to TMS members.

Perhaps the 190,000 unit mark was based on a full year of production. It should be noted that '05's were built from September '04 to the end of July of '05. They probably took some time to ramp up the line speed to ensure a sucessful launch.

Does that mean that Sonic Blue owners tend to be compooter geeks? Or just addicted to a great forum?

Hey WarningSLO,
I'm very nervous about something! My wife says your avatar is a pic of Clay Aiken sleeping on a pillow. If so, why? She really wishes it was her pillow though!
