Well, I sold the black GT vert. I didn't even have it on the market but a customer wanted a black manual GT vert equipped exactly like mine ad did not want to wait. One of the salespersons came into my office and asked how much I wanted for my car. I told him it was not for sale.
He said you don't understand; I have a gal who bought a V-6 black vert and now she wants a GT and she said she always gets what hse wants [happens to be a VERY good looking exotic dancer].
I reinterated that it was not for sale. He said make her a crazy offer just to shut her up, so I did. He then told her and she did not flinch and said , can i drive it home today?
Amazing.
Now I am perplexed whether to get an 06 or wait a month for an 07. I think I will wait for the 07... Hmmmmmm, maybe a Shelby Vert is in the cards.

Are you saying you offered a large dollar amount? or was it a "different" kind of offer.

I say wait for the 07 shelby, and congrats on getting a good deal (whatever it was )

Makes ya wonder if your crazy offer maybe wasn't so crazy after all.... Should have made up an even crazier number maybe?

I told her that she owes me a couple pics with the car when spring arrives.

It was definately a financial transaction. Since I was able to buy it on D-plan, I was already$$ ahead.

You should really wait and get the 07 Shelby. Who knows she may see that too and you can make her another offer. Suggest a Black manual vert.

You know me personally, I would want a Yellow one.

I just find it funny that no one thinks she got ripped off for paying more than she could have.

Ya, I kind of agree with you. Trust me, I'm all for Ed getting as much money (and hiney) for his car. So where are the complainers about dealers jacking price up on vehicles. How's this any different. Again, I'm on Ed's side.

Nice job Ed,

The difference is that Ed didn't want to sell the car. He figured that the price would have been too high and she could have ordered it if she wants it at MSRP. It is not like the car was for sale and he was asking $XXXX dollars over MSRP.

But I know you are on Ed's side.

My car is not for sale either but if someone is going to offer me a certain $xxxx over MSRP, and I can still go out and order a new one just like it, I would probably sell too.

you should have made her speak into the microphone

At least a dance, jeez. Or you should have said she can't have it but she can ride around in it with me.

If a hot stripper wants to buy your car you need to be creative. You disappoint me Next time send her my way or someone else who knows how to "maximize profit".

Yeah but lets be honest and fair. The women makes a living teasing and taking more money than she is probably worth. This is just another example of Karma working out and balancing the way it should.

Ed = had sentimental value in his car in which he charged her for and she willingly paid. Not only did she pay, but she should be satisfied with it, whereas most of her customers probably dont walk out of her line of work feeling the same way.

Cant lose, sell car make a profit order a new 07 and have some extra cashola for mods. Not to shabby.
