But the guy I dealt with was really clueless as to when it would come in. In fact, the guy who does their ordering (this dealership already has 22 orders waiting before mine) said before that probably only half of those cars would even come in as 05's and the rest would arrive in the fall as 06's.

However, he made that statement before Ford released this news about increasing production by 70%.

So, is there a general waiting time right now? Like 3-4 months, 4-6 months, 6+ mos? I would really like to have a clue as to when I will get my car.

 

hmm it really depends but with that many orders before you it may take awhile, First after he places your order be sure to pick up your DORA and then check for your Priority Number the closer to ten you are the better. As for me next week will be my 5 month mark on waiting

yes i know. All i can say is :bang: , but with a little luck as you can see by my sig my ETA is up to the 21st ...so i have 2 days to make it in after that who knows

 

Perry, Im guessing your not sleeping well in just knowing that your new stang is on the arrival. I know the feeling and I hope you get it real soon. It's worth the wait. Don't do anything crazy!

thanks LilHog and yes its getting really rough I drove by my dealership twice today in the hopes of maybe catching the truck there. I know i will be throughly excited when she gets here.

 

About 15+ weeks here....

 

4 full months, going on 5... About to hire a terrorist to hijack my rail car.

16+ Weeks here and still not even a build date.

 

I know alot has to do with the dealer where you ordering from. If you look at my signature at the bottom you can see the time frame for mine.I consider myself real lucky. The dealer I deal with is the East coast Mustang Headquarters(according to there ad)
In there Sunday paper ad there are saying Special Orders Now Accepted (call for Details)
Just make sure you get everything documented in writing. Good Luck

i am going on my 17th week!! argh.

 

6 weeks for me!

 

If mine gets serialized this week, it will be 9 weeks. Then, God knows how long until I get it. I am allowing for 8 weeks after serialization (build date 4 weeks out, 4 weeks for delivery). Does that seem average? Anyway, it is almost a foregone conclusion that I will not be taking my scheduled May 7th road trip to the Kentucky Derby, at least not in an '05 with the top down. Kinda sad since I ordered in January.
