Smoked corner install help

Someone on here posted a "How To" for the install of smoked corners. I tried to find it, but had no luck. Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks.

This is pretty straight up and easy. The method I used was to turn the wheels sharp and unscrew the wheel housing liner from the front bumper cover and lift it back to gain access to the nut that hold the lamp to the rear edge of the front bumper. The other end of the lamp is held in by a tab on the lamp that fits into a slot in the bumper cover.

Thanks for the link Irishman. I agree with you watchdevil, it seems pretty straight forward, but it is always nice to have some directions to follow.

Thanks again guys.

is really straight forward. some guys take the wheels off to do it but i did it with just turning them sharply to get the fender guard off. then there are 2 pressure clips holding them on which i suggest using some needle nose pliers to get off and theyll come right out. could also be a good time to give the fender guards a good scrubbing. hope it all works out

I totally forgot they use pressure clips not nuts.

Thanks a lot for the links. Will the CDC classic chin spoiler be a problem during the install since it screws into the wheel housing liner?

Ok, I need a little help/advice now. I went to install my turn signals this morning. I removed the stock turn signal with no problems. I was being extremely careful because I didn't want to mess up the new signals, but as I was putting my new smoked turn signal in, the middle pin (the one between the two white clips) broke off. Also, the two white pins got bent pretty good and the prongs on them seem loose. To top it off, as I was trying to get the pins into my new signal the %&$*!%& signal broke. I've already e-mailed the company I bought the signals from. Needless to say I was both pissed and disappointed.

I was able to get the stock signal back in, but I'm concerned about those two push pins. Is that something I should try to replace? Is that something that can be replaced? I don't want to be driving down the road and have the turn signal pop out.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear about the busted signal. It's been a while since I installed clear corners, but I do recall that the middle pin busted on both sides of my car! I also remember that I used a strip of automotive duct tap to "help" the clips stay in place. It's been two years, and the lenses are solid--no problems.

Ok, glad it isn't just me then. I'll have to look into the duct tape too. I've e-mailed the company about the broken light, but I haven't gotten a response yet. What kills me is that it wasn't like I was putting a ton of force behind it...it just snapped. So I'm hoping the company and I can work something out. I got them off of e-bay from ziza lighting. Does anyone have any other contact info for them?
