Hello,

I have had my 2006 GT since late December. While cleaning it off this morning I popped open the hood and noticed the air intake hose seemed to have some discoloration on the outside. Anyone else seeing this? The connector from the air intake to the engine was the most evident, though the hose between that and the air box also seemed to have some of the same thing going on. Is this just a side-affect of the material they used for the hose? Everything seems to be running fine and I don't run it hard or have many miles (only 2300 so far).

I believe it is oxidation. Mine did the same thing - others I have seen also look the same. You can clean it and put a protector like Armor All on it, but you would have to do it regularly to keep it looking nice...
