Sirius Paperwork?
Sirius Paperwork?
If you bought your car with Sirius satellite, did you fill out paperwork at the time of your purchase? To date, I have signed nothing and have not seen anything in the mail from Sirius. Don't even know if they know that I have the car.
You have to call sirius and give them your vin or receiver number anwser a few questions then they send a signal and uplink your radio. Your salesperson should have walked you through this. Btw sirius is great I don't listen to anything else.

Flash,
Enjoy the 6 months free. When the freebie runs out, grab your radio id from the display and have them activate for the time you choose.
I did get a card in the mail from Sirius saying that if I call, I can listen online to the PC for free.

I have sirrus in my 06 F150 and just before my six months were up I got a letter from them with my account # and several different package deals. They did not have the life time subscription listed. So I asked about it when I called. It's retail price is $499.00 I got it for $422.00 you can switch it to other cars/recievers up to 3 times @ $75.00. If you pay by the month you will have paid for the life time one in 33 months.
mine was also already working. How do i get ahold of the ESN for the radio? I am hoping its not in the owners manual. mine is still in the plastic shrink wrap, i am planning on leaving it in ther as long as i can
My mistake, as to the way I described is how I have always done it. Not sure why the unit would already be turned on unless dealer did so which would be eating into the buyers free time, or Ford has come up with a whole new process.
When I took delivery, my salesman told me in 1 or 2 days, the Sirius radio would be activated and I did not have to do anything. They would take care of it. In 2 days I tried it and it was working just fine.
Does anyone know if that entitles me to listen online and if so, what do I have to do to set that up?
It does seem a little odd that there would be no info on the Sirius radio with the car at all. And no contact from Sirius at all. Seems like a rather poor set up and extremely poor marketing on the part of Sirius!

It does seem odd, with other manufactures you call Sirius from the dealership while sitting in your new car and set up your own acct and activate the radio but I also got a full year free.

Hey Flash. Things are well. Hopefully with you too. Finally got some sun here in Chicago after having a week of crap weather. The odometer will crack the 1,000 mile mark today, so I hope to stretch her legs a little.
Yup, got it in the mail 2 weeks ago and other than my name and address on it, it's a totally generic card. It gives you the channel lineup, tghe number to call to activate online listening, and also some of their bundled pricing plans.
I'm off to wash the 'Vert as we speak and do some driving.

So, I call that number and I find out that my unit is still registered to my dealer. So, I am like cool. Leave it under my dealer's name, but let me login online. I guess when the six months is up, you will need to know how to get it transferred to your name or something to reactivate it.
I got a F150 in January with Sirius already working from Dealer. After 6 months, message came up on screen to call Sirius to subscribe. I called Sirius, told them I had a new truck and wanted to activate the radio, and they asked me if I was offered any free time when I purchased the vehicle. I said yes, 6 months. They took all my information, reactivated my radio, and said they'll send a welcome kit, and a bill after my six months is up.
