Drew.....awesome pics.

Hmmm.....the last pic sure looked like there were a lot of rubber marks on the pavement. Were you having fun before the photo session??

Hahahaha, no those were there from some people before...from the looks of things they had one-tire-fryers

Plus those tracks are a little narrow for the 285s I'm running out back

(The thought did cross my mind to light 'em up, but there were actually quite a few people up there at the summit)

Any chance of high res pics?

I've got the raw files, non-photoshopped in full, hi-res

I'll email you a few if you PM me, but they're almost 4mb EACH, so I won't post them on the forum.

Just remember those RAW files (Nikon NEF) can only be opened using specific software applications, including Nikon's own proprietary software and late versions of Photoshop (CS +).

The RAW file should be openable in iPhoto 5+ as well, been seeing a lot of RAW formats added every 10.4.x update for the Mac, including the recent 10.4.9.

iPhoto 6.0.6 is allegedly compatible with Nikon's RAW NEF format, according to this camera list.

Of course, that only helps if you're on a Mac.

I've got Photoshop CS2, no clue how to use it though. What I meant to say is that I have all of the picture files in HUGE .jpegs.

Not to go too off topic on this, but the cool thing is that the support actually comes from the OS in the form of ImageIO. Apple adds in the newer formats directly to OS X, so that any app can tap into them. iPhoto with version 5 started to, and Aperture uses the same methods. And a few 3rd party programs use the same method. Makes it easier to upgrade everyone at once.

If you don't have a Mac, theres always the local Apple store. Just bring the memory card along and use their systems

I kinda wish I was into photography more then I am. I'm pretty much just a point and shoot person, who looks at the Aperture videos wishing I had something to use it for.

Great shots by the way, looks like an awesome place for photo shoots.

Yep, just another great thing about the Mac! And Aperture is truly stupendous.

CS2 should work. It will likely include the 'Photoshop Camera Raw' plug-in, which you can easily determine by simply dragging the NEF files into Photoshop, or by choosing Preferences from the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in menu in Advanced mode.

But, it sounds like you just got the files in high-res .jpg mode, so you can open those in pretty much any image program.

This is what it looks like when someone drives through your shot while the aperture is hanging open for 10-20 seconds...

A friend of mine who just moved out here was also in the USAF, he was stationed somewhere in Germany (possibly Rammstein AFB, I don't recall exactly, though), and is now stationed at Luke AFB over here in Glendale AZ.

He ordered a 2006 GT from Germany and picked it up in his hometown in Indiana before driving out to AZ for his posting.

You do realize that those pics you're posting aren't showing up in your posts?
