Side/rear visibility of covertible?
Thinking about trading my GT coupe in for a GT convertible. Just wondering how the side and rear visibility is compared to the coupe? A friend of mine has a BMW Z4 convertible and it's literally impossible to see back and to the left or right and rear visibility is also horrible. I'd imagine it's a good bit better in the bigger Mustang right?

And living in San Diego, you really can't go wrong with a convertible. This is probably the best place to own one, practically year round enjoyment of the top down experience (except for days like today).
I sat in a coupe this weekend and there is no greater blind spot with my convertible. Just in a little different spot is all since the convertible has back windows the area just behind the seats is open and the blind spot moves toward the back of the car.

Not too bad compared to other cars but I would think a coupe would be better in most instances. I've owned many 'verts, even the ones with the horrible plastic rear window, and I'm not going to complain about this Mustang at all. In comparison, my Trans Am is just horrible for blind spots, and it's no wonder they built so few overall. If owners didn't constantly use that passenger side mirror, forget it. Turning your head is not enough making parking lots extremely tough.
mrp5150, if you still haven't bought one yet, I think you will be fine. Nothing like a test drive though. Good luck!
