Should I sell my stock Bullitts?
I got my car a month ago and already had aftermarket wheels and tires waiting for it
. I was telling my Dad that I was going to sell the stock ones and he thought it would be a good idea to save them (the wheels) for the future. I'm not really sure on how long I plan on keeping this car, and I'm not really into the bullitts in the first place. Do you guys think keeping the original for the future is worth it? What have you guys done?
... and if so or not... is anyone interested in just tires?

keep them for a little while - I'll show you a post on why as soon as I find it.
EDIT: Sorry, I can't find it, but basically the dynamics changed for one member and he started experiencing a pulling problem. He got uni-directional tires and had changed the alignment of the car. I don't know if he ever got the pull out.
Whatever you do, do it one at a time: new wheels and tires first, then alignment changes.
He couldn't figure out the problem and couldn't put the original wheels back on: sold them.
The market for the wheels won't change that much.

If you're not sure what to do, don't do anything. At least that's always been my motto. You can sell the tires, but keep the rims. Who knows you might end up in snow country and can use them for snow tires. Or, wait a couple of years when the current Ebay supply has dried up, and sell them to those of us that like them for replacements. Either way, if you don't need the dough....don't let 'um go!

I would say hes got a radial tire pull vs alignment issue. Tires come from the factory with this. And most reason for alignment combacks in my shop. Cars in specs and still pulls, you got a tire issue. start moving them around to find out whih one is the problem.
I guess I'm just going to keep them for now and store them away. I don't need the money, but 400-500 would be nice towards some other goodies. The only reason I have decided to save them is in the event that if I sell my car the buyer may want the originals or if somehting happens to the wheels I have right now. Thanks for the advice all!
Good choice Jerrod. Like alot of others out there I plan on keeping mine and everything I've taken off is easily put back on. Even if you sell it "bone stock" some day (like for a Mach 1, Bullitt or something else faster, better and a little more affordable than the Shelby), the new owner might be wanting it "factory original". I suspect that the market will have plenty of low mileage, low use '05's in the near future (when the S/E's start rolling out) and if I was going to be buying one of them, completely stock is what I'd be looking for.

I sold my machined wheels after I purchased my Cragars. If my car is worth a mint in 30 years then I screwed up. But the machine bright aluminum was not a very good looking wheel IMO.
I just didn't want to walk around them in my garage for the next three decades. Or until I sold the car.
