Should I have received my DORA yet?

Greetings everyone!
I ordered a 2005 GT Vert on January 31st. As of today, March 3rd, I still havn't received a DORA from my dealer. Is this normal?
What could be some of the reasons I havn't received it yet?

Have you asked for it? I got mine the very same day.
Yes, I have asked several times. They assure me my car has been accepted by Ford and don't know why they hav'nt received the DORA yet...

Don't they just print it off the computer?
Sounds like your dealer is jerking you around. Go in and demand that they give it to you. If they don't and you are paying MSRP for it, threaten to go elsewhere. If they don't give it to you ask for your deposit back.

Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgment (sp?)
Do a search, there's 1.2million posts on DORA.
Actually, come to think of it, if you search DORA you might overload the search feature and get an error message.

Also, I wasn't trying to be a jerk, and it's the confirmation that Ford sends your dealer. Just tell him you got advice from a friend telling you to get it to make sure everything was entered into the computer correctly. You don't want to wait 3-4 months, and have your car come in with the wrong tranny or color... it's happened before.

The DORA is a dealer order receipt acknowledgement. It should be received the following day after your order was submitted. This is not the same as the vehicle order confirmation sheet that you should have left the dealership with the day you ordered. You want the DORA to make sure the actual submitted order matches the intended order.
As for why they won't give it to you, I have no idea. I guess some dealers don't like to because it shows invoice pricing and to some that is the "Holy Grail" and not intended for mortals to see. They can just request a new DORA if yours isn't available and get it the following day.

Karpro:
Is it true that once it's first printed out, you need to go back into the system and type in new info in order to get a second copy of the DORA ? (my dealer is feeding me that my car was ordered and they have to do this b/c the printer jammed or some b/s). If you could tell me if there is any truth to this, you'd make my day !
