Well for the past 2 weeks I've been noticing a clamming noise coming from the engine as I start the car from a cold start. It seems to get louder as I drive it and not take it to get it serviced. It only does it after a very very cold start, afterwards, you might get it for about a second and thats it. And this clamming noise last on and off for about 10 seconds. Sounds as if an aluminum fan blade was scraping agaist the outer rim of a fan ring. I dunno, anyone of mechanical knowledge of what this problem may be or anyone else noticing it on their Mustang?

might check to see if all the bolts are around your tranny, i remember seeing another thread about 2 missing bolts that had about the same noise on a cold start.

ya think?
:bang:
Gotta be the bolts... mine are missing too, but I haven't had time to get to the dealer yet. I can only hear it for a few seconds after a cold start, then it's gone. It hasn't bothered me enough to make a special trip though.
