Shock and spring disposal

Just swapped in a complete Bilstien setup on my brother's 2002 GT. I can't get the trash guys to pick up the springs and shocks. What the hell, do I bury them out back?

No, for the springs, hit up www.iforgiron.com and find a local blacksmith artist/hobbiest. They use springs for a variety of projects. Not sure how much they'd give you, but maybe some appreciation if nothing monetary.

If that's too much trouble, find a local metal scrap recycler in your area. You may make a few cents off of them.

Springs are just bare metal, scrap metal scavengers by me make a living off the stuff....

Chief, try your auto hobby shop. They usually have a scrap metal dump area. I left my old shocks and springs there yesterday when I swapped out for Konis and Vogtlands.

You may even try an auto parts store (Autozone etc.). If they take oil, they may take that stuff.
