Shipped by convoy carrier !
Well, after the setback 2 days ago, being told by my salesman that my car was caught up in an anti-theft system problem at the plant with 800 other cars, today Ford tells me that "As of January 30, your vehicle has been shipped by convoy carrier."
I understand that means it's on a truck, somewhere. Any ideas as to how much longer before she gets to the dealership? It's already been 4 days.

Mine was shipped by convoy carrier on 1/21....and it showed up at the dealership on 1/27. So you should be seeing it very soon!! Good Luck!!

If the relative distances are comparable.

I know, I know, transport can vary widely depending on the geography and distance. In any event, we're getting close.
Once you get that status, "shipped convoy carrier", means it has arrived at your reginal mixing lot, after being unloaded from the train. This lot is where the car carrier organizes shipments of cars and trucks to a local areas dealerships.
Here is an example, my car received this status on Dec 6th the day it was unloaded from the train to our reginal mixing lot which is down in N.C. The car sat there for a little over a week before being shipped to my dealer Dec 15th. The ride on the truck only took one day in my case.
So once it has arrived in the mixing lot it all depends on the number of cars and trucks being delivered to your area to make for a load. You are very close to sitting behind the wheel of your new Mustang. How about a little single
since she is almost there.

Ok mine has been shipped by convey for like a week & a half now & is due in at the latest tomorrow. Then again when my 02 was shipped they told me for 3 weeks that it was on the truck being delivered. So, who knows. Sounds like anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks. Hopefully though it won't be long.

It will sit at the reginal mixing lot until it is placed on a truck with a full load of vehicals to your area. I remember when I heard mine was being shipped convoy carrier, I thought it would be here the next day. I had talked with a driver for the convoy carrier, at the dealership, and asked him where they picked up the mustang he was unloading. He said they picked it up down in Winston Salem, N.C. which is like 6 1/2 hrs southwest from here.
So I was bored one night and looked up the name of the car carrier online. They had a web site that I could email my VIN to and the next day I found out the status of my car. It was waiting to be loaded on a truck. As you all have seen these car carriers going down the road, most carry all types of vehicals by a particular auto maker. So these mixing lots are no more than a place where all these vehicals are unloaded from trains or other trucks. Then they must be sorted for a particular area , then once a load can be made up for an area they are shipped. So everything is dependent on having a full load of vehicals coming to your local dealerships.

I have gotten kinda obsesive with calling the status line and have had some pretty weird status. I originally had a build week of 17 Jan, but the line said I was scheduled for 24 Jan. On the 26th it said that I was produced and submitted to haulaway convoy. YEAH!
On the 29th it said that it was shipped via rail and the dealer said it would probably be in on Friday the 4th SUPER YEAH!
On the 3rd it said as of the 1st it arrived at the ramp OH YEAH YEAH!
On the 4th(today) it said as of the 1st that it was shipped via rail and the dealer said he wasn't sure where it was YEAH???
I don't get the whole process. I have researched and researched the meaning of all the status and now I am left with pacing the house and driving the wife nuts.
Bottom line: I WANT MY CAR!!!!!!!
