Shelby Store Questions

Hey guys. I have a few questions about some of the stuff on the shelby store website. Do you guys know anything about the quality of their suspension parts? I'm looking at several sway bars for under a hundred bucks that were used on good Shelby cars. I mean it's cheap and it was used on those cars, but does that mean its good quality stuff? Will I notice a difference or should I just go with eibach or steeda stuff?

Also does anyone know if the 2010 seat covers will fit 05-09 mustangs? They have seat covers that are decently priced that would be fun to have in my car

A lot of the older Shelby suspension items were relabeled FRPP parts IIRC which are quality pieces as well.

They May require Different Seat Foams on the Front seats. Unless they Come with them. Usually The bottoms are the Same but for example the 07-09 Gt-500's and Bullitts had a bigger Bolster on the top Cover vs a base or GT. They are not inexpensive. Thought I would spare you a possible bad surprise. Also consider if you have side Airbags or not. Another Factor.

FYI,

KC

I do have side airbags. Im figuring the Shelby's did also? And I have the premium 06 gt and it looks to be the bigger bolster one... I could be wrong though. When you say they're cheap do you mean the foam pieces for those parts? And what about the backseat? Some posts I read said there would be extra leather at the top bc of difference in size of the upper foam. Is this the same with convertibles?

Just a heads up if you have to return anything to these guy's ... On 6/25 I ordered a replacement grille for my C6 fascia, they no longer have the driving lights in them and I wanted to move mine. When I received it on 7/3 it was the old version with the holes for the driving lights , so I called them and they sent the return label and I sent it back. After a few days of hearing nothing I called to find out when the correct grille would be sent out , they said if would be after they got the first grille back , which I didn't care for since it was their screw up. Anyway the tracking eventually showed that they received it on 7/11 and when I got in on Monday of this week I called to find out the status. I was told they only do returns about once a week , so nothing had been done on it yet When I asked why they don't try to expedite getting the correct part out when they screw up , they said that's just the way they work. I guess that's Carol's attitude of I'm doing it my way and if you don't like it buy somewhere else. 3.5 weeks and I still have no idea when I'll get my grille , so beware if you have to return anything ...

I also had to deal with returning a grille, but mine went rather smoothly. I believe I talked to bill on their customer service line. Granted it took me almost a month to get the first grille, send it back, and finally get the next one on my car. For the price and name though, I'm not complaining.
