Wouldn't mind seeing a return of an SSP Mustang. Quite a few officers here (Oahu) use their personal cars for patrol - Camaro Z28/SS, Mustang GT's, Mach 1's, and some have the older Cobras as well, also seen a few Marauders, Charger R/T's, 300C's and even a couple of 4-door G35's. The 2-door pony cars are usually modified underhood as well - one of them even sported a S/C! Terminators and S197's aren't approved because of underhood space limitations - mounting the siren underhood - and the removable lightbar's compatibility with the window seals, respectively. (Also know the dealers won't give fleet/invoice pricing to the officers who did ask...) Better than using a SUV or one of the Japanese-brand sedans - Camry, Solara, Altima (apparently Honda's stuff aren't good enough ). Living on an island, where can one run away to anyway? - too much traffic and not enough space!
I just saw a shelby GTH at the ford dealer today sitting in the showroom floor thinking of goin tommorow too se the markup on it and how many miles it has on it.
