She handles the road course well!

Just got home from the Autobahn track day and all I can say is WOW! 3.56 miles with 21 turns.
That was some intense driving!! It was hot out there too.
Nothing like all 4 tires breaking loose around a turn! That sheet was crazy!!!
Body is a little sore, prolly will be worse tomorrow.
It was great passing up Ferrari's, Lotus', Mini Coopers, S2000's, Miata's
I had a guy with a Lotus Elise come up to me and ask me what I had in it. He was having a hard time keeping up! That made me feel great!
Brakes took a hell of a beating, but held up great.
Unfortunately my wheels did not! Talk about diiiirty! and I washed it this morning.
There was only one other 05/06 GT out there and was someone I knew from another Mustang forum.
Display was reading AVG speed 48 MPH @ 7.5 MPG.

Only 2 other Mustangs, and they were 2 cobras
Big mix of cars tho, vipers to ford escort wagons!!!!!
I had to snap a pic of the escort.

Cool - were you using the full circuit, or just the north or south section?

Sounds like a lot of fun... Passing up cars that "everyone" says would "smoke a Mustang on a road course"...

Sounds like the s197 Mustang can be a pretty good track car... I hope all those people that say the "Mustangs can't handle" are reading this thread....

Haha. But I cant be the one to be the deciding factor. But I was definitely very impressed with it.

I'm sure not everyone was pushing their car as hard as I was tho either, but a lot were.

What hood does that Tungsten GT next to yours have?
The cowl hood.

Is it the Saleen?

Looks like FUN!

That looks like a lot of fun. Those pics are great. You really get to see the body-roll on some of those cars.

This was a yearly thing for a Lotus car club that had it opened to everyone until it filled up. Its a private club otherwise for the most part.
Other events I imaging are out there but I dont know of any.
