Oh and......
I bought a Modest Mouse CD. This morning I put it in the shaker for the first time. Its an enhanced cd......The shaker wouldn't play it......

Float on cut to the next song in the middle of it.....
The rest of them sounded like audio tape rewinding.
I got ticked and stuck Clapton back in. This is the only CD the shaker seems to ENJOY playing.

This is RETRO Mustang after all. I can see why it would choke on Modest Mouse and only play Clapton!

Is it just a problem for the 6-disk changer? Is the regular cheaper sterio having the same problem to? Iam still debating on whether the 6 disk changer is worth it.

High dollar?

Oh and every time I see a thread like this I know I made a great choice going aftermarket.
No joke. Almost all factory-installed stereos will be put to shame by even an inexpensive head unit from a good manufacturer. Both sound and quality wise.

When I get a new car, I'm getting the cheapest radio possible, then ditching everything.

I called the customer service line on the Shaker 500 problems, and of course they were nice and condesending and stated this was the first they have heard about it and show no record of any other problems. I was encouraged to take it in and get it fixed. I mentioned about others I know that have done the same thing, and still had the same problem. The operator said they did not have any other reports.

I encourage all of you who have had the problem, to please call into ford's toll free number listed above and simply bombard them with calls on this problem.

When I bought Eleanor....It was down to her and a torch red sans spoiler. I paid EXTRA to get her in part for the yellow but mostly for the shaker..NOW that its broke I am unhappy..

Yea- Clapton( Can't get enough of Eric Clapton), it seems selective on what it hates- LOVES steely dan, the beach boys and all my classic rock.
HATES Elton John, Heart,Pink Floyd, Greenday, Modest Mouse and Franz Ferdinand.

I received a telephone call this morning from Rizzo Ford. They told me that there are no TSB's and Ford is aware of no problem. They told me to bring the vehicle in for them to look at. Can you believe it?

Ugh ugh...............

My shaker is breaking more and more every day. I use the crap out of it.....New fun gremlin? Rewinding to the Frigging beginning of songs! THEN playing it through...

I wonder if my replacement will be broke too?

How could Ford not know theres issues? The replacements are already on a 2 month backlog- they gotta wonder what's going on......
