Shaker inputs/sat radio?
Not sure if it's too soon to tell, but does anyone have any idea if the shaker audio system will have any auxilary inputs (for an ipod or something) or satalite radio options? Ford does sirrius in some of thier cars, right?
icwspiker3, I don't see any aux inputs in the pic of the radio above. Any idea where you plug in?
I know if it was an aftermarket unit they might be in the rear but I doubt that would be the case with a factory unit...
Thanks for any help..

well on the current mach 460/1000, they just use a data cable that has all of the different information components and no separate RCA outputs. so it is the same as pretty much any other factory head unit in terms of upgradability. so the easiest way of adding an aftermarket amp would be with line level inputs on the amp
They MAY have an auxilary rca jack for using a DVD player for the AUX buton. With Ford's prior history, you probably have to gut the entire system to upgrade. If you are not happy with it, why buy anything other then the base stereo anyway?

All premium Ford sound systems are sirius ready, the 500 should have it built in as well as the 1000 system.
All premium Ford sound systems are sirius ready, the 500 should have it built in as well as the 1000 system.
And Ford saw that it was good.
Ford called it "Mustang"...... B)
Ford then said let there be sound in the Mustang, and there was speakers.
So Ford made two different sound systems.
And Ford saw that the systems were good.
Ford then called the first system "Shaker 500", and then seperated the second system one from the first and called it "Shaker 1000".
Then Ford said to the Mustang, be fruitful and multiply and do not drink from premium gas pump. :nono:
We all know the story.
