When I read about the shaker 500 and the 1000, it appears that the only difference is the subwoofer on the 1000. But my question is; are the speakers different between the two? Everything I read, it mentions that the shaker 500 has 8 speakers, while the shaker 1000 has 9 audiophile speakers....

Aside from the subwoofer, do the speakers sound better in the 1000?

Also, are there any other differences between the 500 and the 1000?

THANKS!

I do believe they're the same, except for the extra watts going to the subs in the trunk

Man, about a year ago there was a big ol argument over the "audiophile" word being included in the description of the speakers.

I bet they are the same but I have no proof and the audiophile word is just a sales hook, I could sell cruddy speakers and call them audiophile speakers.

Maybe some true audiophiles can chime in on the subject.
