SEMA show
I live IN Las Vegas....about 8 miles from the convention center where the SEMA show will be held. Is there ANY way that anyone can get me in? I want to see what they have, but I can't register unless I am in the aftermarket parts industry or the media. I am Air Force and can claim to be researching for the US Gov't.....but I don't think that will fly. Any ideas???
Or, you could dress in an industry character costume, and hang outside one of the loading doors and wait for someone to let you in. Thats what they do at the video game conventions. Although I don't think a mario costume would work... Nor can I think of any automobile mascots... Maybe micheline man?
I am going but I run autothing.com -- I'll bet if you signed up for tickets ($10 each for full 4-day run) and used ANY auto Web site (not mine, lol) or made-up company they'll STILL let you right on in. I've found this the case with all auto shows too. 1000's of tickets are sold and they just don't have time to check each.
my uncle is in insurance up there in vegas...call your agent and see if there is any tickets at the office...that is how i used to get in...sometimes they will go the first day and then not the next...give it a try

And thx to everyone for the suggestions. If I find a way in....I will be sure to let you know how it goes and what kind of cool crap they have. (Not that you won't hear about it everywhere else anyway.)

They're strict this year; my application was denied at first for "lack of supporting documentation."

Wolfie351 you mean like AAA? I live in the Bay Area as well, and I am trying to get my plans set as I have an invention I will be trying to show, that is automotive aftercare related, doesn' SEMA just need a business license showing you are in that particular industry?
