I know someone posted about this somewhere on here, but I can't find it. The scratches I am talking about are on the T shifter for Automatic trans. on the lower right side. Has anyone fixed this? Ford says it's normal operation though how can something that makes you car look like crap be normal?

Mine is scratched where the sliding cover rubs against the shifter - gonna look real bad in a year or so.

I got a stick, but have another worry- I got the ISAP(leather wheel only) and the anodized spoke cover is surely going to get rubbed within a couple years...hopefully by then aftermarket trim will be out to cover, but I'm thinking about adding some clear plastic (maybe that 'invisible bra' material) to keep the finish intact- its a nice feeling wheel, but rubbing over the aluminum shouldnt take long to mar it...with the airbag and cruise, probbly not too many options out there- besides, I really reallly like the feel of this wheel...first car Ive had I didnt change wheel or recover with something...

I dont know if some similar clear material could be put over the shifter base?
