Hey all, just wanted to share what a great drive I had today. I live near Harriman State Park which is in NY and decided to take a run through the twisties and see some fall foliage. Pics are in my gallery [see my sig for link], first time creating a gallery so sorry if they are too big. EDIT: I think they are the correct size now.
Anyway, enjoy, I know I did
I'm going up again this coming Saturday, weather permitting. There was still a lot of green today and I think next weekend will have spectacular color. Anyone in the NYC metro area want to meet up and do a TMS Mustang caravan just let me know. Oh, yeah I guess that part should be in the regional. Mods: I'll make a new post there just for that. Enjoy the pics!

Thanks Dan, it sure is! There are parts where my steering wheel is never straight for more than 4 seconds.. LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT,.. all the while dropping into second and hammering through the turns

I think we'd all like to live at the end of one of those roads eh? Going for milk would be so much more fun

I grew up in Stony Point. I'd love to meet up for a cruise but I don't have my car yet! harriman definately has the best twisties in the area
Nice pics. My wife and I went to Vermont a few years ago to see the fall leaves. It was beautiful. 'Course...we had a rented Malibu then. I could only imagine the "fun" factor in a 'stang.

Dan: Yeah it sure would! Honey, can you ask the neighbor for an egg? Nah, I'll go to the store
Fordracing200: that must've been some experience! Watch out for deer
AGBULLIT: Thanks! The pics were taken with my cheap Sony point-n-shoot. Just 2.0 MP. When I return there I'm going to bring my other camera.
yur1279: Come on up! I know what you mean about traveling from LI though. When I lived in Suffern I dated a girl from Merrick. Why oh why?
lethal: Just think of twisties and click your heels 3 times.
Seriously though, Kansas has some great byways right?
Boltzman: Thanks!
andrewplen: I enter Harriman using the back way through Stony Point. I grew up in Suffern. I plan on going up there quite a bit so there will def be many more runs. I'm thinking of perhaps doing one where we hit Harriman and then travel up the Palisades to Bear Mt.
gshub77: Cool. Check the planning thread under NorthEast in the regional section for updates. If the weather is nice I'll be going this weekend.
firststang: Thanks. Yeah, love the MG
GhostTX: Well now you can go back and this time rent a Hertz Mustang
When I think of VT I think of snowboarding, hmm.. maybe I can squeeze a day run in before they get too much snow. They're getting 6 inches tonight I think.
