Edit: What I ment is that we all know Ford wanted this launch to go without any problems and, regardless if this is true or not, they are not going to say much about new cars coming down the line until they make sure everythings going smoothly.

I just posted about this in another thread, but basically I wouldn't worry too much about it - the article does say there is a delay, but also says they *aren't* shipping any cars yet so no need to get down in the dumps! Back in 85 I ordered a brand new IROC-Z when those first came out, and when it arrived it had a defective smog pump on it and I almost had to leave it at the dealer until the parts came in for it ( I took delivery on a Friday afternoon, it would have killed me to wait all weekend!) but after pleading with the shop guys they let me take the Z home that night. My point is, it's better to get any teething issues out of the way NOW rather than when or just after you take delivery. Keep your chin up folks B)

this would probably explain why there hasn't been any exciting news today. Man, i was just pumped today to hear about job 1, but this has left me veeeeeeerrrrrry disappointed. Looks like this will be a big let down to those that already have ordered theirs cuz now they have to wait till cylinder heads are fixed before they could get theirs. Lets hope for better news tomorrow.

I suppose that just means a couple more days of waiting for you lucky bastiges who are getting the 05.
And on a side note, those air fresheners from Ford are evil, the day I put it in my car I blew the engine.

You probably won't see the cars till October anyway, and I'm sure this isn't new news, and is being worked on before we knew about it.

So... does that mean they are going on to the V6's for now?

Exactly. I could care less what BON says, they say something bad every single day about the products with 'sources'. So of course they have a mustang-bashing story the first day production begins, how convinient. Whoever runs BON sure is bitter about Ford. After nearly 1 million 04 F-series, the 05 with the exact same trouble-free power plant ALLLLLLL OF A SUDEN has problems. give me a break. When I left tonite, yet another truckload of F-series and expedition was being unloaded.
