I ordered a satin silver GT back in June and I have NO information yet, no VIN, no build date, etc. I am also noticing a lot of other people who ordered satin silver are saying the same thing. Did anyone who ordered this color combo get a build date or VIN? I am just hoping that this color is not placing the orders on hold. When I talked to my salesman he mentioned something about the order status being on hold until Janary but then again he didn't sound like he had a clue. If anyone knows please fill me in.

 

I ordered on 6/22/04 a Satin Silver Gt. Premium and have a build date is week of Sept 13. My dealer claims I should have it in Oct.
VIN # 2040.... haven't herd of any delays

 

Allocation to the dealer can affect this, as well as other variables, some of which the dealer can control (priority, and if the order type is retail (RET) vs STK, etc.)

Mine is in UNSCHED status right now (7/22 order, see sig), and my dealer is on vacation (out of the country) for another 4 weeks. I'll probably call the manager for an updated status in 2 weeks.

Its good to hear that its not on hold. I just got worried seeing as how I have no info. To tell you the truth I think that my salesman isn't being very accomodating because I am on the X plan and he isn't making much on the deal.

i ordered the satin silver gt back in may, got my vin and what not a while back. i haven't checked in on the car recently, so i'm not sure on what the status is. as far as i know, there aren't any delays.

 

I hope there isn't any holds on Satin Silver GTs because that's what I ordered too!!! I'm sure that it's no big deal with your order # and vin because I'm dealing with the same thing, no build date, no vin. I'd think it must be built soon though because it is a high priority allocation from my dealer in the surrounding minneapolis area. All the dates and vin # stuff doesn't really bother me too much, I just really hope it gets here before the snow flies!!!

 

The only feature on hold is the V6 5speed although the IUP is on Medium risk commodity, meaning Ford does not have enough of it to go around. May delay some orders.
