Satellite Navigation for Mustang?

I got the Eclipse Unit, works great. Everything is in the in-dash unit, so no need to install anything in the trunk. Check it out: Shaker 5435

All the head units with LCD and Nav systems are crap.
Why..
1) You cannot load the complete maps you have to swap the DVD for different destinations.
2) They are slowwwwwwwsw...in refresh
3) The Maps are very very expensive to update.
4) Too Expensive overall.
What you need is a separate unit. All it does is GPS.
Take a look at the Garmin Units. Specially the new on coming out StreetPilot 2720.
Under $900
And you can dash mount them, or even use in different cars, since it's protable.
(Plus it's removable) So no chance of it getting ripped off

The Denslow DVD NAV system in my Lincoln LS has the entire US on a single DVD.

I was recently in a Honda Ridgline with NAV. It's just awesome when you have voice enabled navigation. I really like it. It's just a little too pricy.

But, if you are buying a truck to use as a truck, i highly doubt you would be buying a ridgeline. The domestics and toyota have much better offerings. I still think a truck should be american made.

Honda NAV systems (which are made by alpine) are some of the best in the biz.

I use a Magellen Roadmate 700. It can be moved from car to car easily and removed to prevent theft. It is the same system as the Hertz Never Lost system with a 20gb Hard Drive with all roads in the USA installed. Works like a charm.

I had a rental Taurus in Portland OR with the Never Lost. I was never lost and never used a map the whole time...and I'd never been ther before.
I'd like the portability as I have right now 4 cars!

The honda ridgeline cracks me up. They added an in bed trunk, which is one of the dumbest things you can add to a truck. Why? What is the truck bed used for? Hauling stuff. So, by adding a trunk, they are weakening the bed of the truck, which reduces the maximum in bed payload.
