I find it amazing how one group of people define how their lives are, or their success and happiness on whether or not a car in stock form, can and HAS to beat another car in a race.

Wow...

I've got better things to worry about, but its kinda sad.
"Steve can say what he wants, but when we are whooping on Mustangs he can eat his words"
Wow, whatever makes you feel better...

Some mustang guys are the same way I'm sure...
...but seriously. 95% of people who have these cars don't care, and the ones that do, don't leave them stock anyway.

ROFL. Before he made this comment the Chevy faithful were rambling on incoherently about how Steve had seen the light and was going to jump ship and move to Chevy. Now he's a tool who doesn't understand the wonder that is Camaro.

Frankly I think the Bowtie boys are bristling so badly because Steve got a lot of this right. GM does have issues building a pony car and apparently they need help. They've had to quit the segment altogether once already and now their all-conquering Camaro revival is taking so long to get to market any impact the car should have will no doubt be dulled when it actually does arrive.

I'm no overt fan of Saleen, but this is pretty funny.

until he came to the house of Ford where Satan was complaining that his cam had walked through his tin can timing cover. And the Lord didst ask
Hmmmm...... somebody doesn't know a Ford engine very well, Ford uses a retainer to keep the cam from walking in the block, GM uses a chamfer (iirc) on the lifters to keep the cam from walking and for hi-po apps sometimes its still nessecary (especially when going roller) to use a cam button, preferably with a roller bearing on the end to prevent the cam button from chewing through the stamped steel cover.

Good God that was funny reading most of those GM posts. I mean..the camaro and firebird have been dead for how long now? and their still bowing down to all its glory. If Ford took off the gloves and hung up the mustang for years I would feel down and depressed watching the camaro flaurish if the tables were turned. This is just jealous antics and blabbary. sooo sad sooo sad.

Yeah, they really are pretty ****ed about everything if it doesn't involve butt-kissing a Camaro. I bet they go home at night and beat the crap out of their wives yelling "You looked at that Mustang today, I saw it. *smack* You didn't think I would notice you looking at it but I did. *smack* You will only look at Camaro's from now on *smack*"

Isn't that a requirement for owning a TransAroBird?

Just watched the bonus CD yesturday and Michael Bay talked about the Camero a bit but never mention Saleen. Said it cost GM $500,000 to build it and what not. As they went through the Autobots he made sure to mention what each one was except Optimus Prime. All they said was he was a big rig, no mention of what brand of older rig he is. When he went through the Decpticons and came to Barricade he never mention what car it was and spent maybe 90 seconds total on it. Basically said how in the original the Police car was an autobot but they changed ot up to keep all the Decepticons in line with an "authorative" government theme.

Interesting though. He did say that GM basically sponsored them. Now I wonder what will happen if in the next movie if Ford or even Toyota for that matter ups sponsor cost.
