Saleen Stage 2 Install

Didn't want to take up anymore on another thread...

Runs great, more then enough power for me. Trying to stay in a safer range, don't want to see a rod up close. Maxes out at about 7psi.

Do love the fact that I can drive it normally without getting into boost, but if you want to go, your gone!

This is also from what I understand one of the new units, which has some minor changes internally for better flow (From what I understand, as Brenspeed called it a version 6.25, as I guess there will also be a updated intake plenum but that's not out yet)

Also had the Steeda upgraded tensioner installed, and a slight larger water pump pulley to help with belt wrap for less slippage and of course the Extreme intake, also I had them put on the black wrinkle coat valve covers.

Here are Pics and video.

I can't lie that's the mail reason I got it. I don't like those metal intakes likes steeda's and the ford racing one on the Shelby GTs.

First of all congrats again Starfire. I do have a newbie question though (or just to tired to try to think about it)....Now that you have the FI, are your RPM's the same for a given speed in a given gear, or did they change?

Nope all the same, still running the 3.31s and can't say I feel the need to change it hauls when I want it too, but got 27mpg on the trip home down the interstate, which is the best I've ever seen with it. I could tell the engine wasn't working as hard as I was pulling more vacuum then I did before the install.

Thanks, curiosity was getting the better of me. I have 3.55's and honestly was debating whether 3.31's would be better with FI. I guess I'll just have to wait and see....when I finally get enough set aside to buy a SC.....got a ways to go yet.

Awesome! Nice numbers and the S/C looks great! You should take another vid so we can hear the whine. Couldn't hear it in your current one.

So, MJ Acquisitions has updated the Saleen supercharger? I guess I'm a bit more confident, now, in that business venture.

Man, I'm jealous! Those are great numbers, too, for only 7 pounds of boost! Congratulations!

I also see that your torque begins to drop ever so slightly at around 5K RPM. Are you running an aftermarket fuel pump such as the GT500 pumps or Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump?

Did I mention I'm jealous?

Just as a question, Brenspeed doesn't include colder plugs with the stage 2, think it would be worth going one range colder?

Also who sells colder plugs for the newer heads with the new plug design I can't say I've seen them.

Brisk sells a one piece, but alot of people use the autolite hto's. That's what I used in mine. I put them in even before I got the saleen. Partly because I knew I would put the saleen in and because I wanted to get those stock plugs out before they were too hard to get out.

I'm happy with the HTOs that I got and I would do it again. I got them from Brenspeed BTW.

Yeah but I haven't seen HTOs for the new head design.

Yes although some people of the status of the new Saleen, they are actually operating more efficiently and doing better financially than they were 2 years ago. That is why we support them, oh plus their OEM quality product.

We sell them haha. You will be perfectly fine with those plugs at that level, if you would feel safer, get the Brisk 1 piece
P.N. XOR14YS-1. That is what we run on every car 08-09 and newer and they work great.
