Excellent! That is the Shaker with the Saleen Heat Extractor Hood! As I expected it looks even better than with the Saleen Hood! I will add it to my clone technology when it is available Page please let me know as soon as the Shaker Lid upgrades for the heat extractor hood are available and I will order one!

Would you happen to know if the OEM hood with a scoop works as well?

I never pulled the trigger on the CDC shaker because of the ring not covering the scoop holes on my hood. Of course with this one I'll be adding some more ponies, so picking up another hood without the scoop might be worth it in this case.

My understanding is that this one will work with the same opening as the CDC shaker.

Hope that helps some

Hey there,

There are some extra materials required for fittment which makes the PJ kit slightly more expensive. Plus, for PJ cars, the car will be entered on the Saleen Registry as a Supercharged editionof the PJ car.

Hope this helps some

Hmmm, looks like I'll need to get an OEM hood WITHOUT the scoop.

or wait until Saleen has the hood with cutout already there + heat extractors.

I think the OEM hood that has a hole cut for the shaker has plastic trim around the hole, which just doesn't look 100% spot-on, imo. Hopefully the hole in the Saleen hood will be cut and machined nicely with no plastic trim - and a snug fit to the shaker so that rain and debri does not get through to the engine bay. Can't wait to see the final product.

Nlot a bad idea, especially considering I was looking at the Saleen hood as a replacement before I installed the SC.

This is one time where having the fiberglass Saleen hood is an advantage. It can be cut out sanded smooth and finished without the ugly plastic trim ring!

This is one item that I think will eventually go up in price. I talked to Jared at Saleen today and they already have 28 confirmed pre-orders. How many have already pre-ordered with you Page?

Funny. Will work with a Roush Hood Scoop. Don't know yet if it will eliminate holes made from a OEM hood scoop. Send me a PM in about a week and I will have an answer for you

Look at the underhood pics again - the 'tray' underneath the shaker scoop spreads out under the hood and around the shaker scoop to catch any rain and debris that might make it inside
