is SALEEN going to do anything about the HIDs?

so for all of us saleen HID owners, are they going to do anything about the defect with the reflectors, or just screw us all over and keep our money? its not even worth warrantying them, because the same thing happens with the burnt reflectors. i really hope i dont have to drop more money on the ford HIDs.

I don't know, but the $150 setup I have has done nothing to the lens or reflector after several months, and I drive with them on day and night

I was wondering about this myself. Maybe we should get ourselves organized as a group of owners. That's the only way we are going to get anything done. Going to Saleen one at a time isn't going to work.

Well, if/when we do anything, I'm in.

I am still bitter about going down to Saleen's facility in Irvine and letting them inspect my car without doing anything about my burned reflectors.

It cost me a vacation day and a trip to Irvine, and I got NOTHING. Not even a follow up phone call like I was promised.

(full disclosure: My 1 year warranty expired 6-06, my trip to Irvine was 11-06.)

Unhappy

I'm with Kevin,

I've had aftermarket HID kits for both my headlights and fogs for almost 6 months with no issues. I have the kits from Americanmuscle.com and use the HID kit the gives you hi//low with the use of motorized bulbs to "reangle" the light. I think I'm just over $450 for all 4 bulbs and balasts.

Good luck guys

Well we probably should either use this thread or start another one specific to the purpose of getting Saleen to address this. Try to get interest on the major Mustang sites and go from there. If we get a lot then maybe start an online petition.

Well it looks like Saleen has a new President. Maybe we should give him a call.

cancel your order. they arent supposed to be selling them anymore. the pic is somewhere on this forum, i dont have one handy. basically the top of the reflector above the bulb burns after you use them.
