Anybody here have any thoughts, speculations or rumors about whether or not Ford will will offer a Bullitt SE variation at any point, 
or was 2001 yer only chance? 
Seems to me this platform would do far more justice to the Bullitt than the last one ever could. For one thing, it LOOKS more like the original.

I don't think ford would pay the royalties again for the name...
However with the new BULLITT movie, who knows...could be a great marketting scheme.
I think the look may be recaptured as a SE, but may not be called it...
Possibley Heritage/Retro edition..who knows

World-famous because of its vast array of unique automotive vehicles, the large numbers of product introductions and its trend-setting activities, the 2004 SEMA Show is set for Tuesday, Nov. 2, through Friday, Nov. 5, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

In addition to Ford, other OEM exhibitors at SEMA Show 2004 displaying concept vehicles and ways to modify vehicles will include American Honda, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, SCION, Subaru and Toyota.
SEMA Show 2004 will occupy the Las Vegas Convention Center for the 28th consecutive year. The 2004 show will be organized into 12 sections, with the carmakers’ exhibits distributed throughout the 2 million square feet of exhibits and hundreds of specially constructed project cars and trucks.
SEMA Show 2003 featured more than 1,500 project vehicles, had approximately 1,000 entries into its new product competition and attracted more than 100,000 industry professionals from 145 countries. The SEMA Show is held concurrently with the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). The two trade shows comprise the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW), one of the two largest business gatherings held in Las Vegas.

I'd be happy if a high performance Shelby or a Boss is brought back. The name is not really that important to me, all that is needed is the Dark Highland Green or a similar shade. The Cobra would be fine too.

Though it'd be cool if they made a new Bullitt, I think it'd be better if Ford went in a new direction other then reverting back to making another Bullitt or Mach 1. I think they should make the SE a Boss, Shelby or possibly coming up with some new SE to catapult the platform into the future and not so much relying on the past for ideas since that's pretty much what the entire car already is. My .02

Not a fan of the GTR name...
They should just keep the Mach1 as the "drag racer" special edition. An awesome option would be deeper gears or somthing like that.
Knowing my luck, DHG will replace legend lime for '06

Well looking at the McQueen lookalike in that new commercial that will be coming out, you never know. I wouldn't mind a Bullitt, but I think they should bring back the Boss, and maybe even the Grabber colors along with it.
