Bill, I hope you dont mind my using a pic of your car for this, but is this on every car? I assume so, but what I want to know is is there anyway to get rid of it, to me it looks really tacky.

StangMahn, yes, that seam and spotwelds are visible on both sides on every car. I haven't seen anyone cover them up yet, I just keep the dust and dirt off of them and hit them with detail spray so they shine, like in that pic.
This pic is of my car in March, haven't made any changes since then.

How about a couple of pictures of a black under hood.

That's my overflow catch can a "Whoop @ss" energy drink can. The Canton Aluminum Overflow tank has an extra outlet over the stock plastic one. I need to purchase another Aluminum catch can to replace it.

Hey 364,
Before the Whipple I had the C&L. I had it polished to look like Richards for about $60. Also I had the same guys polish my stock throttle body. A polished throttle body and intake tube really look nice. As you can see in his pics it completely changes the look under the hood. Powdercoating your cam covers is also a big visual mod. The stock ones look like junk. A Canton overflow tank would look good too. I would also go with a polished fuse box lid cover. They are pretty cheap anymore and I put a frosted Ford Oval glass decal on mine. Those decals are meant for auto glass so that the design looks etched in the glass. They look good on shiny metal surfaces as well. They can be purchased at any Autozone or even Wal Mart.
Here are some old pics.

That polished C&L tube and throttle body look great. I might give that one a try. Thanks for sharing.

I had my C&L chromed as well. After I saw yours I could not resist doing it to mine. I see that your rubber seals are black. I hate that blue, did you paint that or did you buy that somewhere? By the way your engine bay is awesome. I hope to get to that point one day!
