I grew up in Ky, where we got some snow, but not tons of it.
I thought I recognized that Cardinal from somewhere.

Rain and snow isn't that much of a problem, just take it slow. It's when there is an ice storm that I would much rather stay at home.

I must admit that it takes a bit more skill to drive a RWD vehicle than a FWD one. :drive: That being said, I'm glad that FWD cars are the majority today, considering the MORONS that I encounter Every Day, driving here in Tampa Florida.

I, myself, however will never make the switch! I love the way a RWD car responds. Yeah sometimes it can get a bit hairy driving a V8 powered RWD car in the Florida rain, but I know my vehicles limits, and just how much I can get away with, in any given condition.

I am a very safe driver and one of the things I love to do when I get behind the wheel of a new car is to see just how far I can push it. If you don't know your vehicles limits you can not be a safe driver. :nono: Most single car accidents are caused by someone not knowing what their vehicle will do in an emergency situation.

That is also another reason I HATE SUV's, you have some soccer mom driving her brood of loud, rowdy, soccer brats in the back, and distracting her from her driving and she over reacts while driving too fast for the vehicles center of gravity and KA BAM!

Sorry! (End Rant)

You cant be afraid of slamming the breaks or pushing the pedal to get you out of bad situations.

Around where I live its not that the drivers of SUVs drive bad... well actually thats part of it... but on the freeway they think that they own the road. Cutting in and out of traffic more often than the honda ricers.

I cant say that all of them drive that way... but the majority here do.

Its the "My car is bigger than yours, if you hit me you'll get killed and Ill be fine" sindrome"... lol

I also notice the steering wheel shakes like a you-know-what when driving fast down the freeway. (Not sure if all FWD vehicles do that)

Most likely the tires here, not the drivetrain differences

I can't tell you how many times I've witnessed some puny little girl driving a monstrous Escalade while talking on her cellphone, oblivious to her surroundings. It's an all too common sight here in LA. If it's a guy, he's usually some overly aggressive a**hole who's probably "compensating" for some shortcoming. The women usually use it as a "substitute" for what the men are compensating for!

I hate SUVs. They take up too much space, block my view, and shoot up gas prices with their 9mpg. SUV drivers, IMHO, are egotistical, selfish, and insecure.

yeah.. this is very true.. these suv retards think the road was built for them.. coutnless times ive seen them tailgate people on the highway at speeds of 70+ mph.. and cut in and out of lanes like they are on a slalom test course

Funny,my Taures does that to. I thought it was the tires.
I'd suspect the tires first. They may be just out of balance, Or, especially if they're cheap tires, they may be a little out of round. (Still got the factory Conti-wobbles on your Taurus?) find a shop with a Hunter GSP 9700 balancer. Even if the tires are less than perfect, they can often be match-mounted to the wheels to bring down vibration.
