rocker stripes

Just got a 2005 and it came with unusual rocker stipes. I want to know if they are after market or factory. Dealer told me they were factory. They are similar to the GT 3 stripe pattern but have the word mustang in them and just back of the front wheel is the mustang pony logo cut out. Sorry I don't have a camera just yet. Any help would be appreciated

2005 Rocker stripes

The only 2005 Mustang to come with rocker stripes was the V6 with the Exterior Appearance Package. It was a split single wide stripe in white, black or gold. The stripe became solid over the door and MUSTANG letters are cut out over the door.

Any other stripe is an aftermarket stripe, especially on a v8 car. the stripe sounds like one of the standard Auto-Trim design patterns.

Those are aftermarket. If you do not like them, they are probably Vinyl and easy to remove or change.

Bob, your service to our country makes you a patriot.

If you have rocker panel stripes on your Torch Red Mustang convertible, I'd like to see a pic.

My wife and I have the Redfire GT vert with the black vinyl top. We've thought about adding a black rocker panel stripe with something like "GT 300".

I like the way the GT/CS looks with the fading stripes on the door.

No stripes yet, the look I'm going for is the '68 Shelby vert look. I couldn't afford one back then and don't want to pay the ADM now so I'm acquiring the necessary parts for my GT. A TruFiber GTS-2 hood, GT/CS side scoops, GT500 spoiler, and a CDC style/light bar. I'm also throwing in an Agent 47 set of 69 style mirrors. The plan is to replace the GT emblem on the fender with a pair of running ponies from the new V6 pony package. That will be followed by a set of white side stripes that will have "G.T." lettering on the lower front fender. I currently have the emblems, side scoops and spoiler and I'm purchasing the mirrors this week. The biggest expenditure will be the hood followed by having everything painted. A set of BSM side stripes will be used. I'm still up in the air over the style bar as to order it with or without LEDs. I'm looking at about 6 months to acquire everything as I'm doing all of this without a kitchen pass.

I have seen some dealer applied strips that weren`t factory !
When you say "the dealer said" was it a salesman ?
Cause car salesmen are the lying scum of the earth. Most of em don`t know XXXX about a Mustang. But will tell you what you want to hear.

Your plans for your Mustang sound great Bob. I'd enjoy seeing pics as you progress toward your goal.

Is this something like the look you're aiming for? These are beautiful Mustangs. Classic.
