Robot lady actually said something intresting...
"Scheduled for the week of MM/DD." will be the next status you are looking for followed by status "As of MM/DD, your vehicle will be built the week of MM/DD." The timing of those two events has been as varied as the number of individuals on this forum. At least you have the VIN# and can be assured the vehicle will be built! Congrats!

Congrats, just got mine serialized too. I ordered on 2/19. Good feelin' ain't it?! After all those months of tension and wondering whether we're gunna get an '05....plus I get to go on vacation next week, so that will put my mind at ease till i get back
I just called again, and the info hasn't changed. My car is still scheduled to be built the week of the 23rd and there is no vin given.
I need the vin to get my insurance started -- takes 2 weeks in NJ.
When do they issue VINs? In theory, my car should be partially built by now.

What dealer did you order from in NJ? I have a S2000 too (wifes car). fast car but way to small for me - 6'2" 230!

As soon as you are serialized you should have a VIN. Sometimes the dealer doesn't get it until it's built. You can call the ERL to get it from the analyst though. Pretend ur the dealer.
We use it to determine vehicle information, warranty status etc.

I bought the Honda from Honda of Essex in West Caldwell -- the worst dealership around.
I got the Mustang from Mahwah Ford.
How do you think I'll like the Mustang if I've been driving the Honda for 2 years? You're the only one I know who's familiar enough with both, or maybe your wife would know. Right now, I think the Mustang is a huge car. Thanks
Sweet! Thanks for the tips. I can't wait. I when to the dealer today and got the VIN. Talked to the after market guy too. I'm gonna have them add a CDC Ducktail and Chin Spoiler + black out the rocker panels + the add the 3rd break light. w00t w00t!
Next question... muffler upgrades....
Which one to buy? I don't want to be too obnoxious. What has a nice medium level that you can still feel the growl without waking all the folks in the hood?
