I don't know if it's the larger wheel well or what. I'm running the stock pirelli's on my GT still and every time I run over lose gravel, little rocks or debris on the road it kicks it up and it rattles around in my wheel wells until it leaves them. This never happened in my 03 v6 with stock 16" tires. Do you think it's all that empty space or the way the well was made that the rocks and debris happen to cycle around in there. Should getting larger tires fix this? Just another little annoyance.

I noticed that noise from the wheel wells was much louder than My 96 GT, Both from rocks and in wet weather. As for larger tires I don't think it will help.

i noticed that too , hear allot more of the little rocks hitting the fenderwell , i just thought it was because of the large voids in the tread pattern of my 255 bfgs catching allot more little rocks . but hey ive only got 137 miles on her, im sure i will get used to it :P

Yup, same thing, makes me cringe every time I drive down a dirty (sandy/pebbly) street. I've been into the trunk to check the area of the wheel wells and it's pretty thin sounding when you give it a tap....I think some sound deadener is in order when I can get around to it.

I have the Ford mud flaps on the back, and custom-cut flat mud flaps for the front. I highly recommend them, especially for the winter months.

I have to wash all those out with the hose on the rare occasion I am unlucky enough to drive on dirt.
