It seems like almost every time I put the car in reverse, especially from a cold start, and back up out of my spot in the morning, I get a loud clang comming from the rear end when I push the clutch in while moving? Anybody else's car do this?

Yeah. I just posted a message about this myself. I have an auto and I get the same thing.

Dustin mine was doing that too, but it stopped once I stopped using the e-brake and just left it in first gear. I guess when it was sitting in the garage for a few days with the e-brake on it would make the pads stick to the rotors. , hence the clunk.

I wonder if the Strut TSB or the Axle TSB applies to this one?

From reading this site, it seems like the Strut problem would be with the front of the car.

Both of these TSB's mention turning the wheel, which causes the reverse clang in mine.

Hmm.

I have been having this problem too. It sounds like a loud version of the old brake adjusters that worked in reverse on drum brakes. I use the ebrake when parked regularly, but this only happens once in awhile, and only when the car is cold.

Hmm. That's interesting. I wonder if this is something that would cost me $$ to fix.
