Rent a Mustang from Hertz
#1
Hi all,
This year I'm coming to the USA again and as usual I rent my car (Mustang) from Hertz. In the brochure from my travel agent there is a Mustang but on the Hertz website there is NO Mustang but in that category there's a picture of a Pontiac GrandAm
I have contacted Hertz (email) with the question if they still have the Mustang but have recieved no answer yet.
Does anyone know if the V6 Mustang is still for rent from Hertz ?
please help me

I tried about 2 months ago, but they only had 2004 models. This was at a smaller airport, though. I would suspect that the larger airports would have a few 2005 models available.

Orlando Fla has new Mustangs at Hertz and possibly others. There are literally dozens of them around - you see them everywhere!
I work near Boston and have seen Mustang rentals around here too. Even verts now.

Sore spot for us Dealers. Hertz has Mustangs to rent but Ford would NOT allow dealers to order any for their rental operations. I have a 30+ Ford rental operation that I oversea along with everything else i do and we were told no Mustangs this year. It's really rough for the operators in the sun states who compete against hertz all day long.

I'm not sure which company it is, but a client visiting my work today rented a V6 Mustang.
Didn't realize how long the front end was and hit the brick wall in front of the parking place. (Not sure how hard since it's still pressed firmly against the building. Noticable bulge on the top of the bumper though.)

I rented one yesterday from Hertz in Austin. Redfire with no spoiler. A lot more power than I expected, it's pretty quick. And I have to admit, I am spoiled by the automatic. Makes spending a week in a training class a little better...

I was at the Green Bay airport 2 weeks ago, and Hertz had 2 convertible V6's on the lot. If you've ever been to the Green Bay airport, you'll know that the entire rental car lot is not much bigger than what you'd find at your average restaurant. I was really surprised to see the new Stang's available in such a small market.
