My windows won't open with the remote or key. I have read the other thread about the global windows. I found on page 66 of the manual. "your vehicle must be equiped with the active anti-theft system, the ignition must be in the 1 )OFF?LOCK) position and the accessory delay feature must not be activated in order for this feature to operate" Then I looked for how to de-activate the accessory delay . Page 44 mentions this feature, but does not tell how to activate & de-activate it. Any one know how to do this??? Oh yes my car does have the active anti theft system, and it does not work either...

The accessory delay (AD) is set by turning off the ignition, and reset manually by opening the trunk or either door, or automatically after 10 minutes have elapsed. What the owner's manual is saying is that the global window functions are inhibited while the AD is set. AFAIK, the AD can't be disabled.

Let me know what the dealer tells you, I have the same problem. I have active anti-theft. My interior motion detector does not work and my windows won't roll down by using the key fob.

Here's some info I collected reading Stangnet and here:

--------------

Ok here is the update, I just picked up my car from the dealership and my global feature now works as advertised both with the key fob(roll down only) and the key lock (both up and down) They replaced the junction box which was special ordered from the factory of course. They had to reprogram my key fobs, but it is working as it has been advertised. I asked the technician about the factory deactivating the feature, and he told me he checked all service bulletins and even talked with techs from Ford and they knew of no such thing. So I hope this helps someone. It is not the most useful feature but it is something that is advertised with the active anti theft, and oh yeah it is kind of cool too

All you need is VCM 25 or later. One of the guys in Stangnet passed this on. I had the dealer check and they said my car had the latest software so all they had to do was enable the feature. It is as simple as them hooking up their computer and selecting enable. Now both my key cylinder and FOB work.
