Remote start question

Id like to buy a remote starter kit for my 07 Pony Pkg Mustang.
I am looking at the 7L3Z19G364AA kit but it says I need a PATS which is most likely this: 8L3Z19G365BA

Now my question is, doesn't our cars already have PATS installed in them?
Or would I need to replace it with 8L3Z19G365BA?

Im a little confused...Im going to do more research but thought I would ask first.

Yes our cars have a PATS system. That is why you need that part so you can start your car. Otherwise you would have to be next to your car with the key to start it. Kind of defeats the whole remote start thing if you still have to run out to the car every time you wanted to start it, no? Isn't that what you are trying to avoid doing?

Thank you for the reply. Im trying to figure this out.
Please bare with me.
So the 8L3Z19G365BA is for cars that don't have the PATS system, so i dont need it but some other part to bypass it since the car already has PATS correct?
So would 7L2Z19G364AA be better to get than 7L3Z19G364AA?

I'm assuming that the kit has the interface on there for the PATs because it specifically says for PATS. But don't assume. The other day I assumed my new washing machine would come with new hoses. Had to reuse the old ones.
