Update: They (MotorWeek) has already posted their review on their website:
Motorweek 2005 Mustang Roadtest
FYI, this review appears to be word-for-word what was said on the television program.

Feels good see auto is faster then 5speed I love it
I posted this several times before, but here it is again.

At the '05 Mustang showing in Foxboro, MA, the Ford engineering manager that was there told us that a bunch of the Ford engineers had a drag race session with some '05 Stang prototypes.

Most drivers were fastest in the ATX cars.

However, the best times were posted by the few very good drivers with MTX cars.

The average driver will be fastest with an ATX, but a really good driver with a MTX will still clean your clock.

Motorweek 2005 Mustang Roadtest

Now for some of their results:
GT (manual) 0-60: 5.0 seconds
V-6 (I guess manual too) 0-60: 7.0 seconds.

Wow..the auto version of the GT is nearly as good (According to MT's test). I'm wondering now  auto or stick?
With THEIR driver.. B)

I TIVOed it this morning. As someone else mentioned, the narration was pretty much word for word with the review on Motorweek's website. They had some real nice footage of a Satin Silver GT with red interior on the track, and a Windveil Blue GT with parchment interior on public roads. Both had the concept style wheels, and both looked great driving, especially the Satin Silver GT.

Check out this Speed channel listing:

It lists Motorweek for 9:30PM (Eastern) and specifically notes "Ford Mustang" in the description column.

Couple of questions -

1. I remember seeing this quote about the automatic tramsmission in the new Mustang

For the first time, Mustang is available with a five-speed automatic transmission. The 5R55S automatic provides a unique combination of off-the-line jump and remarkably good highway fuel economy. A powerful new transmission control computer can communicate with the engine electronics 10 times faster than before and precisely controls shift duration and timing.
- Is this why the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are so impressive?

2. How hard is it to become proficient with a manual to actually shift better than what an auto would do?

I woke up at 6:20am and missed the Mustang this morning but the good thing about the Armed Forces Network, I'll see it again in two hours. Getting the coffee ready right now.

Just got done watching it. The GT sounded really nice. They had good things to say and the 5.0 0-60 time isn't bad at all since Motorweek doesn't usually ring the cars out like MM&FF will. I noticed while they were showing footage of it going around a corner that it stays pretty flat with little roll and that rear seems to have a wider stance then the pictures seem to show. Looks good.
