Rehagen Racing May 2011 Visit *PICS*
Earlier this week, forum member Stinger1982 arranged for a group of Formula SAE students from McGill University in Canada to visit Rehagen Racing in Livionia, Michigan to learn about race car setup and the importance of FSAE to their career prospects in the automotive industry. Not so co-incidentally, the student's mentor is forum member PTRocks!
I managed to get a couple days off of work to go up and check out the race shop and cars while the FSAE demo was going on--here are the pictures!
NASA ST2 Racer:

The Rehagen team was in the middle of moving into this new facility, so only a portion of the hardware is here on display:

Had a couple extra cars to show off as well:

AI Racer and Cobra-R Clone:

Aluminator Crate Engine:

Caged Body for FR500GT Racer...not too many of these in existence anymore:

Example of completed FR500GT:

Interior or RTR-C Carbon Mustang

Subtle Vinyl Striping on top of the Carbon:

Team manager/driver Dean Martin pointing out some of the goodies in the shop to PTRocks, the FSAE mentor:

Getting ready to check the setup on the FSAE car:

#59 FR500C--2009 Grand Am GS Championship Car:

They've got a few other trophies, too:

Cutaway of Ford's EcoBoost Twin-Turbo setup:

Dean Martin explaining vehicle dynamics to the students:

Team Owner Larry Rehagen and Ford/GM Engineers shooting the **** while the students work on the car:

Cockpit of the #52 NASA ST2 car:

Anyone need a BOSS 302 crate engine?:

Making some adjustments to the car:

One of the Ford Engineers (Forum member JScottGT) is a fellow track rat:

Forum member Overboost's 2011 Mustang GT:

Finishing up prep on the FSAE car for the night:
