Does anyone know if these will work with a GTR ram air hood?

Christmas is on its way and we are in toy lockdown

You DO NOT want to use any hood struts on any fiberglass hood. And The GTR ram air hood is fiberglass in case you didn't know.

I am aware that the hood was fiberglass (Is that a bad thing?), but their site said that the struts would work with most aftermarket hoods including carbon fiber, composite, and fiberglass. I usually take manufacturers claims with a grain of salt which is why I am checking here. Any more detailed info you or anyone else could provide would be greatly appreciated.

My body shop nixed my plans to use my Redline struts on the California Dream Hood (also from RKSport, who, by the way, also say No to struts). His advice was highly NOT recommended without internal steel reinforcement where they attach and that's not really feasible on the CD hood.
He deferred judgement on CDC's struts which don't actually attach to the hood until he could see a picture. I don't like the look of CDC's as much as I do the Redline's. I actually ordered my Redline's with the extra brackets knowing I was going to be replacing the hood eventually. Now I'll have to get the holes filled in...bummer!

I would not do it if I were you. The strees on when you close the hood could snap the glass hood. BTW, I have this hood and lifts and if I had to do it over again, I would stick with the prop rod.

Then again, I am taking my GTR off today and going back to stock anywho
