It's a metallic paint, there's some pics over in the Candy Apple Red sub-forum. Looks good to me!

I like the candy apple, to me it looks like the color is a little redder, and deeper, as for the blues, vista is the way to go.

I'm talking about standing and looking at a car painted CA red, not the pictures. I don't want to beat up on the color too much as its just a personal opinion of mine to start with. You really can't make it a right or wrong thing. I took the other pic like 6 times and then posted the least flattering version for both colors side by side.
