Well, I was at the Taste of Chicago yesterday, kinda a last minute thing...
As everyone was out getting food, I wandered over to the Ford tent, and low and behold...
There was the Mustang from the Pony Drive! :worship:
Last 05 I saw was at the Autoshow, and that was behind a fence of glass. So, I immediately started to inspect the car up close. First thing I did was look at the tire gap as I know that has been the question of late. Taking a look from several angles, I noticed that at below eye level, the car did look a little high, but at normal views, the car seemed to fit snugly on its tires. At most, a 1/4 inch drop should do the job to prevent a 4x4 look.
I didn't get to sit in it , and the guy there wouldn't even open the hood.
But at least I got to take some nice, close, long looks.
So, for anyone in Chicagoland, head up to the Taste to take a close up look at the 05 Mustang.

Dang it! I have to work Saturday! Chicago is a six hour drive for me. I was hoping that it would go on through the weekend, so I could see it on Sunday. I'll never make it there to see it!

To answer everyone about the pics...
Like I said, it was a last minute thing, and I really didn't expect to see an 05 there...
I have already kicked myself...but on the other hand, I had to let the rest of the Chicagolanders here know about it

Ok, I'm gonna go back this friday or saturday. The taste 'opens' at 11am. That's when they start selling food tickets, at least. I'm sure the Ford tent will be up and running a little bit earlier. I'm aiming for getting to Grant Park around 10am and shooting some video and taking some snapshots(I'm sure the 05 will still be there)
Anyone have some areas they want to see, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get inside..but feel free to post any and all suggestions. Also, a 500 and Escape Hybrid were there also...anyone want pics of these?

Pictures do not do that car justice! I was really impressed with it, when I saw it in person at the Cleveland Auto Show.
Can't wait to hear some feedback from some of you guys who will be driving one later this year!
I spoke to a guy who test drove it, and he loved it!

I will be happy to make the video available, mostly likely thru file-sharing(or if someone would be so kind to host it...)
My idea is to do a walk-around video, I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to get inside(if so, expect a nice look around in there), and video of the engine(hopefully running)
I'll grab some pics of the wheels from some different views, some good angles for photoshopping and some detail pics
