Rebuild Specs New Motor/New Transmission

Well this is what i have decided on as, at minimum, close to final specs on the work i am having done at the moment. My figures have me over 20k at the moment when all is said and done, but i retain my complete stock longblock in its entirety, complete stock transmission in its entirety and will have zero downtime, except when it is all getting installed.

That will be a really nice set up. Does your builder charge you a lot for labor? A complete set of forged rotating parts at haney is only 1,900 with balancing. A complete forged short block is only 3K. The tranny is 6k. 8k seems to be a lot for the rest and labor.

the Shortblock section with assembly from everything from the "Parts needed to be sent to Larry and needed for Final Motor Assembly" section is about 5 grand in itself. then add in the cost of the parts from that section and you got 2700 on the heads, 650 on the cams, 500 on all of the timing components for the heads, oil pan is 250, windage tray is 90.

then add in the other stuff, tranny is 3500, shifter is 330, clutch is 1000, 150 for crossmember 120 for slave cylinder and so on and so on,

right there alone your at 14,290 and i still didnt even add in half the parts in the list, labor to install the motor and misc parts, another grand in tunes ect ect

Larry, my builder says if anyone but me is driving, the car should be in the mid to high 9's. if im driving, maybe 10's haha
