I, like most of the posters in this thread, am right at 6'4. So, this interests me. What kind of mounting system does the mirror use to hold to the windshield? If it is the adhesive like previous years, it can be removed and remounted for only a few $$$ worth of supplies. I did it on my '02, and it still works fine for the girl who bought it- she's 4'11". I just softened the adhesive with some acetone-based nail-polish remover, and popped it off. I scraped/cleaned the remaining spot, and moved the mount all the way to the top. I had to file off 4-5 of those dot-matrix things, but I was tinting after I moved it so it didn't matter.

I just had my windshield replaced. It looks like the mounting is embedded into the glass and then the mirror slides down onto mounting bracket.

It'a a bonded on metal shoe on the glass (pretty standard). The mirror is just clipped to it with a breakaway clip rather than an actual "slide" (so it'll pop off if hit hard in an accident)

Its a dual pivot mirror as well. Have you raised it as high as both pivots will allow?
