Rear view mirror has to go!
Okay. Today on the drive home it happened to me again. Pulled up to a four way stop and looked both ways. Pulled out only to hear a honk on my right from a truck that had apparently been at the stop sign that I missed altogether!!
I would simply attribute it to my inattention, but this is the third time this has happened. My rearview mirror completely blocks my view between "1" and "2" o'clock.
Anyone else have this problem? I'm 6'2" so maybe it's just an issue for taller drivers, but I think Ford has to rethink where they put the mirror. I'm now driving with it completely tilted up to increase my field of vision.
Sounds nit-pickey, but I would hate to have my Stang t-boned because of a lousy rear view mirror.

Hmm... no, I haven't noticed it. I'm 6'2" as well. Do you maybe have your seat too high? I have mine down at the lowest position.
I'll pay attention to the mirror placement when I'm out tomorrow.

Mine isn't much of a problem as I have my seat scraping the pavement. I'm 6'1"... Then again, there aren't many stop signs I need to worry about, it's all stoplights anymore
Took the advice of the fine folks on this thread.
Lowered the seat all the way and it helped. Turns out my wife raised it up about as high as it can go. Yup, she gets to drive it every now and then.
And, just to make sure I get used to the new lower seat position I took the stang out for an extended evening drive! lowering the seat really helped me feel more immersed in the experience of driving America's finest muscle car! :P

I'm 6'1 as well but I wouldn't say that there is an issue with mirror placement. I find that it blocks my view no different than any other mustang I have driven. Try lowering your seat. It took me a while to adjust it to the right spot but it is not as much in the way as it use to be it seems.
I'm 6'6" and i have the seat as low as it can go and I have not noticed any problem's with the rearview mirror. My only problem is that this thing seem's to be a magnet for cop's. Just about erery week there are one or two following me. Of course my dad is a cop and every guy on the force want's him to drive it to work:-). Life doe's have it's little bonus's.
Almost every vehicle has some blind spot in the rear quarters. You gotta turn your head and look. There's no avoiding it. I imagine even in a vert there's a space between the rear and side view mirrors where you could lose a motorcyclist.

I would chalk it up to your height. I am 5-11 and have no probs.
The only blind spot I have is the quarter windows. That is what the accelerator is for.

), and the blind spots aren't too bad. Compared to the previous generation stangs where the blind spots were terrible, the 05+ is very good.
