Absolultely no sploiler.
The car is much cleaner without.
It gives you many options to do something that does look right on the car.
With the spoiler, you are very limited as to what you cn do with it.
Ducktail is the way to go.
This is my .02.
You have to go with what you like. You are going to be the one making the payments and taking care of her.

The spoiler adds a little sumthin-sumthin to an otherwise sorta plain rear.Maybe when the re-design rolls around they'll put hips on the car and they won't feel compelled to put a non-functional wing on.

Ford has a little identity crisis in respect to the Mustang. They did a song and dance pony show to explain and justify the absence of fake side and hood scoops but then turn around and include fake spoilers in most Mustangs.

spoilers help break up the air rolling over the rear end of the car, thats why it's called a Spoiler. Curious how this is "non-functional" If it spoils the air then it's doing it's job. It's not a Wing like on the R's which looks really horrible but I suppose it adds some down force.
A ducktail would be just as functional a spoiler, or "non-functional" as the stock spoiler.
It's a matter of taste.
I don't really buy into the notion that the added streamlining effect of spoilers make a big enough impact on fuel economy to make them a necesity. It's all about styling, but makes people feel better about the frivality of it all.
Why anyone would need/want a downforce wing on a street car makes no sense to me, but people like them, or APC would be outta business. :R:

I think the rear of the Mustang looks too plain. The spoiler, or a ducktail, add "architectural interest". I suppose if the car is striped it might not need a spoiler or ducktail.
I also think it depends on the angle. Straight from the side favors a ducktail, or a smooth trunk. From the rear quarter I think both ducktail or spoiler look good. From the front quarter I prefer a spoiler.
I wish there was the option to get a factory ducktail like the CDC with a high mounted LED across the back window.

If it's functional, then there is some numerical value attached to measure it's function.I'd like to know what it is. If it's about styling, then that would be it's "function".Can it be both? Sure. Anybody know the data?At freeway legal speeds, it can't amount to much.

My original order was with the spoiler delete, based on side view photos. I was going to buy an SSE ducktail and get it painted. However, after seeing more and more GTs on the road, I have added the spoiler back on. It looks great from the rear view (especially with 4" polished exhaust tips). I'll pocket the $400 or so I was going to spend on the SSE and not have to deal with all that 3M/screw mounting crap.
