Rear shock replacement on 2007 v6
I am replacing my rear shocks and front lower control arms tomorrow, any tips? I found a good video on the control arms, but I can't find any info on the rear shocks. This is my first Mustang, so I am looking forward to learning about how to do my own car work

You really don't need a book to replace the rear shocks on our S197's. It is simple basic, remove the nuts and bolts and they come right out. Putting them back is just as simple. Put the bottom mount on, have the bushings and washers on the top, then cut the band on the retainer. The shock will go straight up, and you can move it a bit to center the hole. Put back on the top bushing and washer and you are done. Very straight forward for the rears. The fronts, are more difficult, but only with the springs. The mounting is like the back, just more bolts to remove. You have a brake hose (10mm bolt), four top mount bolts and the bottom mounts. Reinstall a completed shock and rebolt. Not a lot to it. I hope this helps. Good luck.
