Im sure ford made it so the rear seats fold forward like the present ones, but I cant seem to see a split in the seats from the trunk view?

this may just be a prototype or something. Anyone seen the rear seats at a show, or able to confirm if they fold. I really hope they do. Not that I fill my stang to capacity, but if needs be it really can hold quite a bit.

I hope they fold too. I've come to love that feature on other cars and it would be a shame if ford didn't include it in the Mustang package.

I'm pretty sure that they will. I can see the split on that second pic.

Yeah, it splits. I saw the rears folded down at the auto show. That trunk shot shows the split at the top. Below that is just a flap of carpet covering up the rest.

Unhappy

Why would they Split the Seat Back if they didn't fold down? Really? Here look at this!

Simple. Several reasons for this. First and formost is ease of installation. Second less mass to have to move. Large parts are easier to damage and harder to transport. Smaller parts fit through the door openings easier. Leather is cheaper in sections instead of large pieces (if the new mustang doesnt have vinyl rear seats). Anyway, I am glad they fold down. I presumed they did, but in pictures of the trunk it was hard to see a split. Thanks for the help guys.

actually I can't see any split in the trunk... you see the wavy coating at the end of the trunk? if the seats fold forward, you have one plain cover for the whole space inside the trunk, and virtually no ridge which makes loading easier

Doesn't change the fact that I won't believe it until I see it!
